2015 MAKEUP FAVORITES !

It may be late because we are already halfway into the first month of 2016, but I also felt that it is the right time to retrospect & take a really good look at all the products I used in 2015, before I began makeup hauling in 2016. I didn't get a chance to try out every new release in 2015, lets face it-I'd be pretty broke if I did that, but here's what I loved & thoroughly used last year from my stash (in no particular order):

Kryolan Dermacolor Camouflage Cremes – Love these. They are multipurpose base products; you can use them as foundation and/or concealer. Although I use DFD every day for concealing I’ve still not hit pan on it. I also purchased a green corrector last year (DREDB). Review & demo is here. I recently went to the Kryolan store & stocked up on these.

Kryolan Translucent Loose Powder – Another product I have repurchased, albeit in a different shade. Its really hard to find a good loose powder in India without breaking the bank, but this powder. Reviewed here

Lakme Absolute White Intense Foundation – whenever I needed my makeup to stay for a long time, this was my goto foundation of ’15, especially during summers. It’s lightweight & offers great coverage. I actually don’t have a variety of base products, I stick to the ones I’ve had for longer than a year. Review here.

Bourjois 123 Perfect CC Cream'34 Bronze' – Another product I’ve had for more than an year. I love using this in cooler months, its another lightweight high coverage product. I heard Bourjois might shut down in India, but I don’t think I will be stocking up on this. Full review here

The Body Shop Lip n Cheek Stain in Rose Pink 01 - I think this is one of the most recommended products by me, it never disappoints ! A lovely deep rosey tint that lasts for hours & hours, reviewed here.

Sleek Makeup Face Form Contouring, Highlight and Blush Palette – The coolest thing I have to say here is that I’ve repurchased this product! I used the first one, which I reviewed here, on my sister a couple of times & she loved it a lot…so she took it. Then I had to order one more for myself from Luxola, thankfully before they stopped shipping to India.

Makeup Revolution London Eyeshadow Palettes – I have Iconic 1, Iconic 3 & Iconic Dreams palettes. All of them have a good selection of shades and are really good quality. In addition to that, you can get them on sale, even upto 60% off. I’d pick one more of these anytime, over the Maybelline & L’Oreal nude eyeshadow palettes.

L'Oreal Paris Infallible Lipsticks – I have to stop myself from buying more of these, they’re such good quality & last a long time on my lips. A lot of you loved the shade Tender Berry that I reviewed here, which made me happy & didn’t make me feel so bad about splurging on this. Btw its price has increased even more… INSANE, I know!

Bourjois Levres Contour Lip Liners – I will really miss these if Bourjois leaves India. They are super affordable long wearing lip liners, mostly because they have a pretty dry formula. I already stocked up on Enjoleuse, a lovely pink shade. I so want to purchase a peach shade & a back up of Rouge Soyeux (MAC Ruby Woo dupe) , they weren’t available the last time I checked =( Reviewed here.

Revlon Colorburst Lacquer in Balm Tease – Revlon Lacquer balms are overpriced but this particular shade is a gorgeous orange color that looks amazing on warm Indian complexions. I could not stop wearing it, be it summers or winters. Review  & lip swatches here.

L'Oreal Paris Moist Matte Lipstick in Lincoln Rose – I heart this shade so much. Review  & lip swatches here

Carmex & EOS Lip Balms – So it turns out that I will never stop loving the EOS egg lip balm, or the Carmex ones that I own. They’re the only ones that last for a long time on my lips despite being in AC environment all day. And no, the EOS one did not cause any dryness or give me any rashes.

Maybelling Baby Lips Spiced Up in Tropical Punch – a rich tinted lipbalm. I love the color, I love how it looks over my pigmented lips. The texture is also much better than original Baby Lips balms. I like wearing this when my lips are smooth & free from any dryness. See the review here

Beauty Blender Original– If you’re someone who applies multiple layers of makeup on your eye contour, i.e corrector, concealer, highlighter etc., you don’t know what flawless application is till you’ve used something like this sponge. I so want a proper dupe of this because the original is expensive to repurchase !

Real Techniques Expert Face Brush, Blush Brush & Setting Brush – So far, these three are my top recommendations from Real Techniques. Review of blush brush & setting brush is here.

ColorBar Emphaseyes Eye Blending Brush – This brush is really great for applying cream products; it’s my favorite concealer brush. It’s also super soft, I’ve owned this particular one for almost 2 years and it has never gotten damaged, which means its good quality as well. Reviewed here. I use it everyday to conceal my panda-like dark circles !

The Body Shop Face & Body brush – One of my oldest makeup brushes, older than the ColorBar one as well, and it is still in mint condition. TBS brushes maybe pricey but they are really good quality. Reviewed here.

Revlon Parfumerie Scented Nail Enamel in China Flower – The only polish in my collection that is over a year old & did not dry up, despite the fact that I did not bother to change its position often. I also LOVE the shade and the scent. I’m not a red polish person but this shade is too gorgeous to resist. It’s really good quality. I want to try more of these but I did not like any of the other shades, hard to believe I know, but I’m a pastel person when it comes to polishes. See review & notd here.

Faces Hi Shine Nail Enamels – They come in an amazing array of colors, you need to change the position often so that they don’t dry up, but that’s ok. In case you were coveting some expensive Inglot polish, I’m pretty sure you can find its dupe at 1/3rd of the price at the Faces store. Reviewed here.

E.L.F Mist & Set – I should have reviewed this. It’s a pretty darn amazing product. It sort of helps to seal your makeup & make it last longer, but it has so many more uses than that. I wish I had a much larger bottle of it !
