Nails! ~ Autumn with Colorbar Nail Lacquer in Autumn Rose? Umm..

I don’t think I’m mistaken when I say that Colorbar nail polish in Autumn Rose is a popular color. Its a color my sister brought within 2 minutes of entering the Colorbar store, just going by the color of the bottle, without ever seeing/hearing about it on any blog because she does not follow beauty blogs. After she purchased it, I saw the color and went “You've chosen a really great color!!” Because I knew of its popularity, and it looks coral-pink in the bottle, soo cute.
So later, we went to the food court of the mall and decided to paint her nails to kill time, till the food we ordered was ready. And.. both of us were disappointed by the color of the nail polish. It came out neon pink on my sister’s nails, a color that doesn't flatter many hands.

Maybelline Color Tattoo 24hr Cream Gel Shadow in Bold Gold - Review & Swatches

Before I got the  Maybelline Tough as Taupe color tattoo, I’d had a tryst with another one – Bold Gold. Frankly, I wasn’t impressed. Unlike the Tough as Taupe, Bold Gold was hard and flaky and applied patchily on my eyes. It just wouldn’t smooth out and if I tried to put more it would just get worse.  I wonder why the huge difference? If anyone has had a similar experience then do  share it with me. I’ve seen all reviews describe this as a pot of gold which is a dream to apply; pot of gold I agree, but dream to apply? Nah.

COLOR V/S SKIN TONE: It’s a nice berry pink, more pink less berry, and its perfect for all skin tones & one can use it for day as well as night wear. It suits my skin tone & my sister's. Her skintone is a honey tan shade & it’s a popping pink color on her which stunningly suits her. I highly recommend it for dusky skin tones as it’s a truly fun color to wear.

~Lotus Herbals Purestay Lip Gloss in Rose Bud- Review & Swatches~

{Psst...If you need a quick review just check "The Good" and "The Bad" points mentioned below!}

There are some products that make you 'oooh' & 'aaahh' when you look at their packaging, or feel their texture, or see their pigmentation and... and so on. And then, there are those bad eggs which just ruin your experience despite their attractive looks. Is Lotus Herbals Purestay Lip Gloss one of those misleading products? To me, yes. I was disappointed by my bad experience because this product has received great reviews all over the web, and I'm like, 'Why me??' *Sob*

My favorite smudging & eye makeup brush ~ Bourjois Double Ended Applicator - Review, Photos, Price

You know, I'm not crazy into make up(yet), its just the stage of testing waters, so to speak. Since I can't wear make up on a daily basis to college, I'm constantly on the look out for pocket-friendly quality products. Moreover, I'm not an earner, till then, I want(read: try) to spend(read: waste) as little of my parents money as possible, on my vanity.
Make up brushes are important and there are really good quality brushes available at reasonable rates, but not in India, still that doesn't justify that I should spend four grand on a brush set from a high end brand when I can definitely find a dupe in a drugstore brand. Trust me, its all there, you just have to search for it. And when you find such a product, you know that you have gotten lucky.

Speaking of getting lucky, well.. I did! I found this amazing brush!
