When it comes to switching makeup between seasons, playing up your manicures is the easiest place to start. For me though, pastel
& bright nail polishes are my JAM. I
literally wear them all year. So when summer rolls around, I have plenty of
colors (& polishes) that I can recommend you to try out asap!
And here I have rounded up all the colors that I think perfectly encapsulate the best thing about
wearing makeup in summers. Also, some of the nail polishes I will recommend
have been
with me for over a year so they’re really good quality because they
haven’t dried out yet :)
1. Yellow
Nothing screams color like yellow!! This one is Lemon Fizz by Faces. Mellow Yellow by Sally Hansen is also very popular
amongst bloggers (but I prefer the Faces formula)
2. Pink
What’s your favorite pink shade? For nails, I
usually go for soft pinks but this bright, candy shade of pink is so pretty and unique, it is Candyfloss Matte by Faces.
3. Coral
Everyone loves a coral shade, right? Personally
I don’t like them for nails but whenever I’ve worn Coral Craze from Maybelline,
I’ve gotten a ton of compliments. That’s why I definitely recommend trying out
this shade. Also see Peaches & Cream from Nykaa
pastel collection which is a neon coral color on me.
4. Red
Red is one of those classic colors you need to
have all year. This particular one is the most gorgeous shade of red I’ve
tried. The formula is stellar too, I’ve had this polish since 1.5 years and it
hasn’t gotten thick at all, totally worth the money you pay! It is China Flower by Revlon.
5. Blue
Powder blue-meets-periwinkle is one of my favorite colors, I
believe it is called Serenity by
Pantone (aka color of the year 2016). I found a nail polish in this shade from
Bourjois called Adora Bleu (although
it looks neon in pics :/). I’ve also worn this baby blue color by Faces so many times!
6. Mint
Mint is definitely the collective favorite all
girls, and I’m a fan too, hence the mint accents on my blog =). This particular one from Nykaa - Mint Meringue, is
so gorgeous, both color & formula wise. I’m actually wearing it right now!
7. Pistachio
I’ve always wanted to try out a pista shade of
polish. I must warn you though that it gets dirty easily on nails, like nude
colors. The color reminds me of ice creams
though! This particular one is Hasta la Pista by Nykaa pastel nail
polish range.
8. Lilac
I’m a huge LOVER of this particular shade of
lilac shown here. It’s the perfect balance of purple & pink and nothing
like other shades of lilac tried on my blog. Shade name is Charming by Revlon which
I got for free during a promotion. Lilac Silk by Oriflame is also the same shade!
