The Body Shop Lychee Blossom Shower Gel... Yeah, Lychee :D

I’ve tried a lot of fruity skincare products in the past, raspberry, blueberry, cocout, passionfruit… You name it and I have tried it.. Or so I thought, till I came across this Lychee Blossom shower gel by The Body Shop. I have never come across ‘Lychee’ (or as I like to spell it ‘Litchi’) in a product before. Did you know that this exists, or maybe I’m not the only one living under a rock all this time?

I picked up this Lychee Blossom shower gel in one of the sales The Body Shop was having last month and I must say, I’m so glad I did! This is definitely one of the more gentle shower gels from TBS. Its fragrance might be tad artificial, but its still very pleasant! There are strong notes of Lychee and some floral notes mixed in! So yeah…lychee blossom nailed to the T. The fragrance is pretty unique for me, fruity meets floral, and so I love it. This might be limited edition. But if history is anything to go by, TBS re-releases its limited edition products every 1-1.5 years.

The Lychee Blossom shower gel has the traditional transparent bottle and flip top cap as the rest of the TBS shower gels. At the price this is sold at, I expect a pump with a lock system instead of a flip top cap! As far as efficacy goes, its just like any other shower gel from TBS, but more gentle. It lathers well, has just the right consistency and is mildly moisturizing (I have dry skin). Its colorless and unfortunately the fragrance doesn’t linger for long on me, may be not even till an hour after my shower.  TBS states that this is soap free but they haven’t provided any ingredients list so that I can confirm that. It also contains honey, according to the cover, but that does not show up in the fragrance
