Nothing says you’re back for good like a large haul. I
hope the plethora of skin and body products in this post makes up for my
unplanned hiatus! These are a couple of necessities I bought recently as well as
almost a month ago.
From left to right :
Bath Gloves in Pink (Rs. 395 / $6)
Remember when I ranted in the Shea Shower cream review about how much I needed these gloves ? Well, now that I have them, I’ve only
used them twice because they are pretty rough, especially for hands & chest.
I’m a bit scared of using them continuously :(
Camomile Sumptuous Cleansing Butter (Rs. 1095 / $16.5)
I’ve always wanted this, but its price tag made me
hesitate. I have the Camomile Silky Cleansing Oil, which is at the same price,
but has more quantity and lasts a long time because you need a small amount. I
haven’t used this yet but I’m excited to put it to use.
Peppermint Soothing Foot Scrub (Rs. 650 / $9.8)
Have you seen the tester of this scrub at TBS stores ? Well, once you see it, you won’t be able to resist buying one and trying it out!
However, I’m yet to pamper my feet with this scrub.
No More Rough Stuff Foot Smoother (Rs. 275 / $4)
I read a very positive review about this so it made it
to my cart. I’m yet to use it though.
Moringa Milk Body Lotion (Rs. 695 / $10.5)
This a lotion in a spray form, similar to the
Parachute Summer Refresh Lotion Spray. It smells better but is way more expensive. Either way, I
LOVE spray on lotions.
Organic Cotton Rounds X 100 (Rs. 300 / $4.5)
Love these also, they are round cotton pads that are
extremely soft, yet they do not disintegrate during use. Will definitely be
repurchasing this.
Kama Ayurveda Rose Jasmine Face Cleanser with the pure
essential oils of rose & jasmine (Rs. 675 / $10.2)
I’ve been so intrigued by this cleanser ever since I saw
its reviews on the Indian blogosphere. I’ve been on a gentle face cleanser kick
this year – JH Silksplash, TBS Aloe Cleanser, Himalaya Aloevera Cleanser and now
this one. I also love rose fragranced products. As you can see I’m yet to open
this beautiful box and use the product, but I plan to soon, once my current
facewash is over. The Kama SA (a male) was nice enough to give me 3 samples even
though I purchased a single product. My sister joked that if it was a female SA
she would have demanded samples from us ; P
Vichy Thermal Spa Water (Rs. 650 / $9.8)
This is a repurchase, my current one is not yet over,
but I felt like it might get over soon so I bought another one. I love this
product, read this post to know why!
Freeman Chocolate & Strawberry Face Mask (Rs. 250
/ $3.8)
So I tried this mask 3-4 years ago and loved it simply
because of its chocolate smell. While I don’t remember its effects on my skin, I
remember it being very therapeutic due to its chocolaty smell. I was so happy
to see this in stock (after so many years) because it was unavailable since the time I first purchased it. I got this from Beauty Palace in Mumbai.
St. Ives Timeless Skin Apricot Scrub
The St. Ives Fresh Skin scrub is my favorite scrub, I have purchased it twice in a row. I bought the anti-aging one this time because the Fresh Skin variant was not available in the tube form. This also was bought from Beauty Palace, its widely available in other beauty & medical shops in Mumbai.

Nivea Moisturising Sun Lotion SPF 30 (Rs. 299 / $4.5)
I bought this just a day ahead of my Andaman trip. It claims to be waterproof and all that jazz. The truth is unless you cover your skin entirely, you get tanned no matter how much sunscreen you use.
Nivea Smooth Souffle Indulging Body Creme with Shea Butter (Rs. 265 / $4)
I got this because it is one of Shubha Juyal’s
(bluevelvetaddict) recommended drugstore products. I got it for 50% off too,
which is a sweet deal.
Nivea in Shower Body Milk (dry skin) (Rs. 250 / $3.8)
I’m a person who has dry skin but who’s extremely lazy about moisturizing. An in-shower cheat like this sounded perfect for me especially since winters are here. I’ve been using it for 2 weeks and it is so worth buying.
The Body Shop Cocoa Butter Shower Cream (Rs. 425 / $6.43)
Now this I purchased from Beauty Center, the same
place I got the Freeman Mask and the St.Ives scrub. This was on a 20% off so I thought,
why not. I’ve used it before during winters and I’ve absolutely loved it.
Palmolive Thermal Spa Skin Renewal Shower Cream (Rs.
145 / $2.2)
This is another Shubha Juyal recommendation. I have
been using it since two weeks, while I do not love it, its definitely a nice
shower product for dry skinned people like me!
Gillette Satin Care Sensitive Skin Shave Gel with Aloe
Vera (Rs. 225 / $3.4)
I have wanted to try this out for a long time but
I couldn’t find it online (its still OOS). Luckily for me, my sister bought
this. She didn’t like its fragrance and basically shoved it in my hands
because she knows I’m very much into shaving. I have used this once (before my Andaman trip) and I don’t even remember how it smells, LOL. I love having a
sister for sharing beauty stuffs with though!
Gilette Venus Cartridge (Rs. 475 / $7.2)
I’m a regular user of the Venus razor. This is my 2nd 4 pack cartridge in over an year. Which means roughly 5 cartridges a year…that is still soo much cheaper than waxing ;) I’m miffed that they increased the price of this four pack though :(
Soap & Glory Righteous Butter, Scrub em &
Leave em Body Buff, Hand Food (Rs 470 / $7.1, Rs.500 / $7.5, Rs.470 / $7.1)
These are some of my first few purchases from Sephora.
When you first go into Sephora, you’ll realize almost all the makeup is out of
stock…atleast, in Pune its that way. I still bought some S&G goodies that
are highly raved about. I’m not really wowed by any of these though.
Emolene Cream aka my new night cream 50g (Rs. 90 / $1.36)
This is the most recent product that I got & I
have been using it since the day I got it. It is actually a moisturizer that my
sister’s dermatologist recommended to her (she has dry, sensitive skin). I have
been on the search for a night cream and initially I planned to purchase the ZA
Total Hydration Deep Moist Cream, but that felt very, very similar to the ZA Milky Moisturizer which is my daytime lotion ! Clearly it wouldn’t be rich enough for
a night cream. So I decided to purchase Emolene because I feel it has just the
right consistency which suits my normal skin for night time. I love that it comes in a tube, so convenient to travel with!
I hope you enjoyed my haul! The Body Shop has free
shipping on all orders AND a 20% off 3 products offer that ends today. I definitely
recommend the Organic Cotton Rounds and the Lip And Cheek Stain (review here) which is one
of my favorite products ever, even my sister has purchased it after trying out
my one!
